Chris Law MP
  
Chris initially trained as a French chef and then, after developing a love of India, went on to run a tourism business providing bespoke 1950s motorcycle tours of the Himalayas. During this time he studied at the University of St Andrews where he received an honours degree in Cultural and Social Anthropology. Chris is a self-employed financial advisor based in the City of Dundee.
 
He became a prominent ‘Yes’ campaigner during the Scottish Independence referendum and founded the Spirit of Independence campaign to champion this cause.
 
The Spirit of Independence toured many Scottish communities promoting cross party / organisational support for a ‘Yes’ vote during a 40 day, 2400 mile journey in a refurbished Green Goddess fire engine.
 
After the Scottish Independence referendum the SNP opened their doors to grass-roots campaigners to stand in their local constituencies. Chris was chosen to contest the Dundee West constituency in the 2015 general election and received 27,684 votes (61.9%) taking the seat from Labour with a majority of 17,092.
 
Chris Law is the Scottish National Party Member of Parliament for Dundee West and is a member of the Scottish Affairs Select Committee.
